The beginning of March will be in the spirit of elections at the Faculty of Health Sciences (UP FHS). Academics and students will select their new representatives in the Faculty Academic Senate for the term of office 2021-2024 electronically.

The elections announced by the Academic Senate of FHS at its first meeting this year will take place March 8-12. With regard to the Covid-19 epidemic, the elections are to take place online via www.volby.upol.cz website.

“Academics and students should participate at the elections because it gives them an opportunity to control the faculty management, influence its goals and strategies and thus have a chance to improve their academic life,” reminded Lukáš Merz.

The academic community of the faculty may nominate candidates for the Senate in writing by February 22. After the date, the election committee will publish a list of all candidates. Voters will elect eight academics and four student representatives to the 12-member Senate. The results of the electronic voting will be announced on March 15. Following March 15, there will be a three-day period to file possible complaints.
