Below is a summary of the current measures in place at UP in conjunction with Covid-19.
Despite the fact that the covid epidemic is currently subsiding, and our attention has been diverted by other world events, one should continue to be cautious and also considerate to those around them. The past years have taught us that even by taking small steps we can significantly influence the lives of others. Thus do not be afraid to use a respirator now if you are not feeling completely well, in order to protect those around you, or if you are worried about your own health. We should continue to pay increased attention to handwashing hygiene, and last but not least it is proper to isolate oneself from one’s colleagues and co-workers if one has symptoms of a respiratory illness. We want to believe that thanks to responsible behaviour we will not have to return to more drastic measures and restrictions in the coming autumn.
Respiratory protection
According to an extraordinary measure of the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic of 10 March 2022 (in Czech), the obligation to use respiratory protective equipment (respirator) in the indoor areas of the university ends as of 14 March 2022.
Accommodation at dormitories
As of 19 February 2022, when arriving at the dormitories, students no longer must provide any proof or certificates regarding Covid-19. More information can be found here.
Testing of employees
On Saturday 19 February the extraordinary measure issued by the Czech Ministry of Health (in Czech) on Covid testing at work ends. Depending on the availability of tests at individual university divisions, one should arrange preventive testing if desired with one’s immediate superior.
